Double-Lacquered Straw Pith Helmet, White
This helmet is warranted to meet or exceed the standard of specification USPSUQC No. 79.
Each helmet features an adjustable headband for comfort and an absorbent sweatband. Natural straw helmet is double-lacquered for long life. Available in tan or white. Helmets are adjustable from sizes 6-1/4˝ to 7-3/4˝ in 1/8˝ increments. Made in the USA.

I bought the tan version a couple years ago and it is still fantastic at keeping my head cool. I live in an area with hot humid summers and used to wear an Amish straw hat, but the straw pith helmet works better. My granddaughter stood on the helmet and dented it. I pushed the dent out and you can't tell it ever happened.

I am a big fan of sun hats. I have a number of different types--and for me they are quite necessary. I have had several different pith helmets as well during my life of 70+ years and have always liked that type of hat. I like baseball caps but pith helmets and other sun hats keep my head cooler. I have several plastic versions but they can be a bit warm in our hot summers of central California. I discovered the straw versions this year and liked the idea. We don't get very much--if any--rain here in the summer so the straw hats work well out here. I purchased the tan version, received it quickly and really like it. The quality is here, and the straw helmet is quite comfortable to wear. I have a 7-5/8 hat size so not just any of these helmets will work for me. This one from Forestry Suppliers is the best one I have found on line in quality and comfort. I recently ordered a second one as well--in white to go with my tan one. As you can see, I am a big fan!

A friend bought this for me as a gag eccentric gift, but it's actually an excellent sun hat. Good sun protection, well ventilated, sturdy, head strap keeps it on in strong wind and when bending over. I did glue on a piece of green felt under front of brim to reduce glare. Have been using it for both summer field work and recreation for ~15+ yrs, still in good shape.

How does the on size fits all work? Is it an adjustable inner headband ?
There is an adjustable head band to accommodate for different size heads. The head band adjust similar to a baseball cap with plastic snaps.
